Support Bakers Delight workers in St Helena, Diamond Creek and Laurimar!

After the positive response we have received from Bakers Delight customers and after speaking to workers, parents and other locals, we have decided to organise a community protest in support of the Bakers Delight workers who are campaigning for better wages and conditions.

Please come along. The details are: 3pm Wednesday 4th November @ St Helena Marketplace, 214 Aqueduct Road St Helena.

We have already had hundreds of messages of support through the Facebook group and via text and email. The Facebook group alone now has more than 600 members! We have had support offered from other trade unions and the media is now starting to show a keen interest.

This shows that there is very little support in society for employers that try to do away with basic conditions like penalty rates, holiday pay, sick pay and guaranteed hours. There is even less support for employers who attempt to take advantage of young people who are new to negotiating workplace agreements.
